Old Lamps

Paris is one of my favourite places to photograph and this is one of my favourite spots. When you think Paris generally people think Eiffel Tower but each time I go I end up here on my favourite bridge in Paris, Pont de Bir-Hakeim. Order and character draw me to this bridge and the seemingly endless bridge supports and lamps create many photo opportunities and framing options.

I wanted to use this blog to share some of my pictures in the hope of inspiring others and helping any just starting out with photography, ready to learn!

The idea of the blog - Out of Shot - was to help people see there isn't just that one "perfect" shot in each situation there's always another angle and often that angle captures a moment or an emotion much better than a so-called professional shot.
