What's in my Camera Bag?

I keep meaning to do a post about this, what do I carry in my Camera bag? I've just been to Ireland and we just took cabin luggage which meant space was tight. As taking my new drone was top priority I had to pack efficiently. I was actually quite surprised what I actually managed to get into my camera bag.

There's obviously all the boring (but necessary) things like cables, batteries, chargers and memory cards. As I was planning on doing a lot of video in Ireland I needed lots of memory cards for my camera.

You'll also notice (bottom right) my Ray Bans always make an appearance wherever I go. They are good to keep the sun out of my eyes when flying the drone as it involves a lot of looking into the sky. But mainly they are used for looking cool. (I'll let you be the judge of whether I pull that off.)

Ok, so the camera is obviously in the bag. I use a Canon 7D with a 24-105mm lens. I've had this camera for years now, it's showing its age a little but I still have no problems using it.

In the bottom left of this shot is my Gorilla Pod. This is a small tripod that has strong, bendable legs so you can wrap it around branches and things like that for a steady shot without having to carry a tripod around. This isn't usually in the bag but instead grips around the strap of the bag nicely.

My second lens. Every bag needs a 50mm prime lens. This has such a brilliant depth of field and produces some super shots. It's not as versatile as my other lens but it's there when I need it. A 50mm f/1.8 is a really good cheap way to get a 50mm lens and as things progress you can upgrade to something like this one. (Canon 50mm f/1.4)

I've managed to fit a few extra accessories into my bag to. This Bang & Olufsen bluetooth speaker is tiny but produces such a nice deep and clean sound. (Don't believe what they tell you about battery life though!)

I also have a Mophie battery pack which has two USB ports for charging iPads, Phones and just about anything with USB charging while out and about.

Not forgetting the drone of course! (DJI Mavic Pro) The reason I bought this drone was because of how small it is once it's all folded down. This and the remote easily fit into my bag and yet it still produces some insanely good shots.

And this is the bag itself. I found ONA bags a few years ago. I searched for ages to find a good camera bag that also doesn't look hideous and I found these guys. They're expensive though, if not I'd probably have bought another by now, maybe one a little smaller.

Hope you enjoyed a little look through my bag.
