Photographing the wedding details

It is a bit hectic planning a wedding at the moment, plans getting rearranged, restrictions being adjusted and dates being altered. But it doesn't mean the quality of the photographs should be sacrificed. It's not just well posed people and lots of smiling faces that make a good album, it's important to remember the smaller details too.

After you spend so long working out the fine details of a wedding it is sad for them to disappear, no trace of them, no memory. I like to photograph in an informal, candid style. Capturing the emotion and the feelings of the day and the smiles on everyone's faces, but the details are also very important.

The wedding dress deserves a close up. Even the back of the dress has so many beautiful elements definitely worth capturing on a photo.

The table details are something else that has much thought go into them, they really make the evening. Table decorations can look so special, I always try and get in there first before all the guests enter just to capture it in the best possible way.

Flowers make a wedding day pop, often such bright and beautiful colours, they need a photo all to themselves.

Shoes! Often these spend most of their day hidden under the wedding dress but could do with their own page in the album! I always make time before the wedding while everyone is still getting ready to get a few snaps of the shoes and flowers together.

I hope you enjoyed my little blog with a slight difference today. If you're looking for a wedding photographer and still figuring out your options feel free to get in touch on the contact page. I'm based in Lincoln but happy to travel so just give me some details and I'll be in touch.
