Traveling With a Difference
I haven't really been away this year, I'm not entirely sure why either!? So the last trip I took was around this time last year to Cape Verde. It was a bit different to my usual trips because this was very much a relax and not explore holiday. Beach, sea, pool and food...and that's it.
As you can see I didn't view the holiday as a hardship, just not something I'm used to. I love to see new places and explore their culture but this was still a pleasant trip. It's nice to actually finish a holiday and not feel exhausted ready for a holiday. Other than sunsets however this holiday didn't give much opportunity for photography.
How many different ways are there of capturing waves and a sky? There was always a period of time between finishing by the pool and going to eat and conveniently the sun always set during this hour or two. Ordinarily I suppose you use this time to go back to your hotel room and relax before dinner but not me, especially if there's a sunset waiting to be photographed outside.
It wasn't all waves and sunsets however! We took one night to explore the local town and get some food. Seafood obviously! And although I'm not really a seafood fan I really loved it. This is Ash who I traveled to Cape Verde with. I like taking pictures and it would seem Ash likes being in them. Each time we go away we take an obligatory: "Could this be an advert in a magazine" Photo. This is Ash portraying the enjoyment of a Super Bock at sunset... Or maybe it's just simply Ash enjoying a Super Bock.
Don't worry 2017 is going to be full of traveling, I promise.
